Digital x-rays, also known as digital radiographs, are administered during an annual dental examination to allow a better view of your teeth and gums. They allow our team at SEDA Dental of Pinecrest to diagnose problems that are not visible and to learn about the health of the inside of your mouth, including the teeth, gums, and jaw. There are numerous dental and oral problems that can be seen on digital x-rays, such as tooth decay, cavities, cysts, abscesses, bone atrophy, and impactions. When these problems are found early, they can be treated more efficiently with more treatment options. During your annual exam at SEDA Dental of Pinecrest, digital x-rays will help us to more accurately diagnose and treat oral health issues.

"I am so lucky to have found this place and to have it as my primary dental provider and after all of the positive experiences here. I am keeping it. To begin, it's a very clean facility and well kept, they have beverages in the lobby if you want to make a coffee or tea while you wait, they also have flexible timeframes for scheduling, and work to accommodate your schedule and are patient with you when you have to cancel or reschedule. For hectic schedules, they also follow up with appointments by sending reminder text messages and phone calls, which are very helpful so that you dont forget your appointment.Last but not least what keeps me coming here is the staff. The staff are very friendly/down to earth, relatable and professional (they are very competent, knowledgeable about dental care and know what they're doing),plus they really make you feel at home from the beginning to end, even during the dental procedure, they make the experience painless and full of fun and overall positive. After leaving the office not only will you feel good because you took care of your health but you will feel energized and able to continue your day or break up your week with a positive attitude, all because of the staff and the experience that they provided at Seda Dental Pinecrest. I highly reccommend Seda Dental of Pinecrest with a special shootout to Dr. Ronald Jarquin, Wilber Hygienist, Raul Assistant and Daina Office manager. Who are all great and makeup a wonderful team.To any new clients looking for a dentist this is the place to go, as they will work with you 100% from payment plans to scheduling and dental procedures.- JW"- J.V. / Google / Sep 20, 2019

In general, digital x-rays are a part of a routine dental exam. They can be administered as a preventive measure or if you are experiencing dental issues of any kind. Though digital x-rays use less radiation than traditional x-rays, SEDA Dental of Pinecrest prefers to minimize the amount of exposure that is delivered to every patient. While they are typically safe for any patient, women who are pregnant or breastfeeding should inform a member of our team at the beginning of the exam so that extra precautions can be taken.
What to Expect
Typically taken at the beginning of a dental cleaning or exam, digital x-rays require about 5 – 10 minutes to complete. Most patients will have a series of x-rays taken to include all areas of the mouth. After they are taken, they are uploaded and can be viewed during your appointment. We will be able to assess if there are any abnormalities and discuss what treatments may be necessary.
A series of digital x-rays will typically be taken once a year at your annual dental exam. During some visits, a whole mouth series may be taken to obtain a comprehensive view of the teeth, gums, and jawbone. Your digital x-rays will be kept with your file at SEDA Dental of Pinecrest so we can track changes over time and chart any areas of concern.
Typically, a dental insurance plan will cover the cost of digital x-rays as part of a routine dental exam. Our office will contact your insurance provider to determine any costs. For any out-of-pocket expenses or if you do not have dental insurance, SEDA Dental of Pinecrest accepts many payment methods, and we can help you find medical financing.
Digital x-rays are a great technology that can help diagnose hidden oral health problems. As part of a regular dental exam, they are able to provide a better view and gives our team the ability to identify any hidden issues to be addressed before becoming painful. For improved dental health, contact our office in Pinecrest, FL to schedule your next dental exam with digital x-rays.
