For long-lasting restorations for a missing tooth or teeth, SEDA Dental of Pinecrest is pleased to offer Straumann dental implants for our patients. Dental implants are metal posts surgically placed in your gums and jawbone to simulate the natural tooth root. One or more posts can be attached to a denture, crown, or bridge for a restoration that looks beautiful and can be treated just like your natural teeth. "I am so lucky to have found this place and to have it as my primary dental provider and after all of the positive experiences here. I am keeping it. To begin, it's a very clean facility and well kept, they have beverages in the lobby if you want to make a coffee or tea while you wait, they also have flexible timeframes for scheduling, and work to accommodate your schedule and are patient with you when you have to cancel or reschedule. For hectic schedules, they also follow up with appointments by sending reminder text messages and phone calls, which are very helpful so that you dont forget your appointment.Last but not least what keeps me coming here is the staff. The staff are very friendly/down to earth, relatable and professional (they are very competent, knowledgeable about dental care and know what they're doing),plus they really make you feel at home from the beginning to end, even during the dental procedure, they make the experience painless and full of fun and overall positive. After leaving the office not only will you feel good because you took care of your health but you will feel energized and able to continue your day or break up your week with a positive attitude, all because of the staff and the experience that they provided at Seda Dental Pinecrest. I highly reccommend Seda Dental of Pinecrest with a special shootout to Dr. Ronald Jarquin, Wilber Hygienist, Raul Assistant and Daina Office manager. Who are all great and makeup a wonderful team.To any new clients looking for a dentist this is the place to go, as they will work with you 100% from payment plans to scheduling and dental procedures.- JW"- J.V. / Google / Sep 20, 2019

Dental implants can replace a missing tooth or teeth with an implant-supported crown, bridge, or denture. You may want to consider a dental implant if you currently have a regular dental restoration but are unhappy with the look, feel, or if there is extra care needed. Implants can be cleaned, like your natural teeth, with regular brushing and flossing. During your dental implant consultation, we will assess the health of your gums and jawbone in order to determine if a dental implant is the right option. If needed, a gum or bone graft may be completed before the implant is placed to ensure you have a strong enough foundation to support the post. You may not be a candidate for dental implants if you are pregnant, use tobacco products, or are currently being treated for an oral condition, like gum disease.
What To Expect
Before the dental implant is placed, you may need to have damaged teeth extracted, gum grafts, or bone grafts. Once your mouth is ready for the dental implant, the treatment area will be numbed with a local anesthesia. Sedation can be added to help you feel more comfortable during the procedure. We will make an incision in your gum and put the titanium post in the jawbone. The incision will be closed with part of the post visible above the gumline. This process will continue if multiple posts are needed. As the implant integrates with the bone and gum over the next few months, a temporary crown or cover will be used to protect the post. Once the dental implant is healed and integrated with your bone and gums, the restoration (denture, crown, or bridge) will be attached to the post and adjusted for a good fit.
You may have some temporary swelling in your gums and face, as well as bruising, discomfort, and some minor bleeding following your dental implant surgery. We will let you know what is to be expected and when to contact our office. We may also prescribe pain medication and antibiotics. Once your implants have healed and your custom restoration has been attached, you should follow a good home oral care routine, like brushing, flossing, and mouthwash. You should continue to schedule an annual exam and bi-annual cleanings at SEDA Dental of Pinecrest so we can assess your oral health. We will also be able to let you know if your implants or restorations need to be adjusted or replaced.
Depending on your dental insurance and specific coverage, some of the cost of your dental implant and restoration may be covered. Our office will contact your insurance to determine your benefits and calculate your costs. During your consultation, we can help estimate your costs and tell you about the payment methods accepted by our office, including medical financing.
Dental implants can be a great choice if you want a natural-looking replacement for a missing tooth that is easy to maintain and lasts for a long time. We can walk you through the process, including surgery to place the implants, and your options on the final restorations.
